Unique - Hand Made - Inspired by Saint Francis

The TAU is the emblem of a journey of faith that revolves around God and just as life's events follow each other and are resolved in faith so the TAU of Humilis follow each other creating a never-ending, eternal sequence.

The Tau, emblem of faith

The TAU is the sign with which St. Francis of Assisi loved signing his letters and blessings. Indeed, the TAU, the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, is indicated in the Bible as a symbol of salvation. In the book of Ezekiel and in Revelation it is a prophetic sign of redemption through the Cross of Christ.

“The Lord said: go throughout the city of Jerusalem and mark the TAU on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament." (Ezek. 9.4).

“It is a sign of powerful protection against evil ..." (Ez.9, 6).

The love for the TAU was a love that sprang from a passionate reverence for the holy cross, for the humility of Christ, the subject of ongoing meditations of Saint Francis.
For the Saint, the TAU was also the concrete sign of his salvation and of the victory of Christ over evil. Today, the TAU is the symbol of Franciscan spirituality that expresses the love for peace, joy, and God's creation.

The message

The ring is the first and only one of its type created completely in Assisi.
The craftsmanship, combined with the most advanced manufacturing techniques, makes Humilis an object of rare workmanship, even though essential in style.

This is also one of the primary reasons why the Humilis ring is increasingly being chosen as a wedding ring. Furthermore, only noble materials such as gold and silver were used, to mirror the noble soul of Saint Francis, while the simple and linear design recalls the sobriety of his life, as a reference for us to aim towards.

The blessing

Humilis has met the approval of the world market.
Many of those who come on pilgrimage to Assisi choose Humilis as a sign of fidelity to the Franciscan teaching.

Many others, however, having the chance to buy online, choose Humilis, requesting the blessing of the ring by the Franciscan Friars.
For this reason once the rings have been made, on the customer's request, all of them can be blessed free of charge in the Basilica of Saint Francis, as a solemn gesture to consecrate the link between the Saint and our soul.
