With the setting of the sun, brother Francis, turning to watch the sunset, was filled with the desire to honor God with a simple, direct, spontaneous, but equally profound little song to praise everything that exists in this magnificent Creation, all the “brotherly” elements that the Most High has given and made so indispensable and precious to man.
And so The Canticle of the Creatures was born, the first and most significant prayer and poem in the history of Italian literature, written by the Saint from Assisi himself.
And so, too, the idea of Humilis was born: to create a line of rings inspired by the four elements so central to the Canticle. which enclose the four elements that Saint Francis glorified: air, water, earth and fire.
Four noble and unique rings, which contain the symbolism of the four natural elements praised by Saint Francis: air, water, earth and fire.
The diamond, the sapphire, the emerald and the ruby, four different gems that reinforce and make precious the salvational message of the Franciscan Tau, with respect for the simple and pure values of Nature.
The white, the blue, the green and the red, four colors which represent Brother Wind, Sister Water, Mother Earth and Brother Fire, so useful for man and so loved by Saint Francis.
"AERE" which frees the essence and transparency of the wind and the air, expressed by the brilliance of the Diamond.
“Praised be you, my Lord, through Brother Wind, and through the air, cloudy and serene, and every kind of weather, through whom you give sustenance to Your creatures.”
"AQUA" that refreshes and takes your thirst of your senses with the precious blue sapphire.
“Praised be to you, my Lord, for Sister Water, who is very useful and humble and precious and chaste”
"TERRA" that glows with the joy, the life and the plentitude of nature , expressed by the green emerald.
“Praised be to you, my Lord, for Sister our Mother Earth, who sustains and governs us, and who produces various fruits with colored flowers and herbs".
"FOCU" hat warms the soul and invigorates with energy, expressed by the red ruby.
“Praised be to you, my Lord, for Brother Fire, through whom you illuminate the night, and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong”.
